This handsome feline was needle felted from colors found in our Merino Cross Earth Tones Studio Pack by Patricia Bierer of Muskego, WI. His name is “Rembrandt” and it looks like he’s ready to play! Beautiful colors Patricia!

“This is a life-size cat I made.  He’s all felted with  wire armature.  I love mixing colors, the more the better!”

Also from Liza Adams of New Zealand, she dubbed this sweet and soulful little bear is Belinda! What a beauty! Make a similar bear with our Beary Best Friend Needle Felting a  Bear Kit!

“Here is my latest little bear.  Belinda is felted in 2 shades of merino x batts [purple haze and lady slipper] and has a 2 colour embroidered nose etc. I have found that these batts allow for much more ‘fine tuning’ with my felting and I can get a much smoother surface! Thanks Heaps”

Aren’t these adorable?!!! All the same color, yet each has it’s own personality! :)
Liza Adams of New Zealand reports:

“I just finished up teaching 10 girls over 6 weeks with natural Romney wool.  They made these bears and for our last class we made the momiji dolls which they used your merino batts to add colour to their imagination.  Unfortunately they didn’t get any of those finished in time but took wool home to finish them there.

So here are the bears from some of the students, I think they did really well as first timers
and with no crafting experience to speak of!”

Thanks heaps,  Liza Adams – Little Handfuls Mini Bears

Sharry Johnson of  Rutledge, TN needle felted this adorable “Tigger” to serve both as a pin cushion and measuring tape! What a great idea! Visit her web store to see more of these wonderful creations!

“I have just begun to needle felt and love it and have gotten the mouse kit from you plus many colors of roving etc.  So as you can see I’m on my way to adding this to my wealth of craft interests!  I have been creating pin cushion animals with tape measures in them for about a year now and my method was sewing and stuffing with fiber fill.  My friends convinced me to set up a shop  as my shelves were overloaded with critters and crafts and I needed a way to get rid of them.  My shop is http://www.etsy.com/shop/sharryjo but most of my critters have been sold now and are under pictured under  ”Sales” on the right side of my shops home page if you are so inclined to see what started this all.

I decided now to create with felting since it is my new favorite medium and it lends so well to this application.  This is a wonderful exciting learning process for me at the young age of 70.  Thanks for all your help and encouragement.”

Beth Ford of  Ten Mile, TN created this adorable bird mobile as her very first felting project! Great job Beth!!

“I am new to felting and wanted to share my very first project that I made mostly out of Living Felt supplies. It is mostly NZ Corriedale and Merino Top wool with some cotton string and wooden dowels. It is a bird mobile that I gave as a gift for a new baby boy in our family.

Once I receieved my supplies from you about a week ago, I couldn’t put them down. I am now truly addicted… not only to felting but to your company and your cutomer service. I will definitely be ordering again in the future You can read more details on my blog: Produced Locally.   Thank you so much.”

Karen Donnelly Draak of Stafford, VA included some of her own dog’s hair in this adorbale needle felted pup. What a beautiful keepsake to continually treasure!

“I first saw an article on felting in the “Bark” dog magazine.  In the article they used dog hair. I thought it would be fun to make my own miniature dogs from their own hair and then I would always have them with me.   I found your web site on line and purchased the Happy Dog felting kit to learn how.  From that I tried my first Scottie.  I used some of Campbell’s hair (my Wheaten Scottie) for the furnishings and the black hair from Baby Ruth, another of my Scotties.  I am next going to try a black Scottie. ”

Sandra Maresca of Guerneville, CA creates many wonderful creatures using polymer clay and wool!
This cat, Lucifer, is one example. She attaches the head and paws to armature wire and then
wraps in wool. The wool is then needle felted to the desired shape.

These gorgeous mythical creatures were magically made by Irma Hoani of New Zealand. What personality!  Thank you Irma!

“Here are some felts I have done using Living Felt supplies.
Beau, my baby dragon and Luna the unicorn were sculpted using your 36 gauge and 38 star needles. Beau’s belly is made of white merino from the monochrome pack.
Constance is made of Lady Slipper and white merino.
Sheila is made of hemlock and tundra from the greens goody pack.
Stormy is made of white from the monochrome pack.
Of all the fibres I have used, your merino-cross fast felting bats have been the quickest and easiest to work with by far. Thank you”

This pooch is “Lucky” indeed! Such a cutie! Great job Linda!

Made this little guy from a picture of my father’s poodle.  Ordered my first felting materials and beads from Living Felt and see what quality material does?  Makes it look professional! Thank you.
