These wet felted flowers were part of a series Vera made using Merino Top to create delicate, beautiful flowers. If you would like to make your own wet felted flowers, try Living Felt Wet Felting Flowers Kit!

These wonderful nuno felted scarves were Vera’s first attempt! Wow! You can’t tell at all! They came out really well! Vera also says that she used Living Felt  Merino Top Fuschia, Raspberry, Marigold, Honey, Lima Bean, Garden Ivy and a Silk Scarf.

Needle and Wet Felted Purple Flowers Purse

This wonderful purse, Vera says, is her latest project. She used purple clemtis flowers (made using Merino Top Purple and Violet) to pop against the neutral tones of the purse (made with New Zealand Corriedale Natural Medium and Natural Dark). “Scraps of real silk fabric were used to make an interesting structure and composition. The Living Felt Bamboo Mat is a great way to perfect the round handles,” Vera said.

Needle Felted Flowers on Denim for Nanna

We were very impressed with the perfection of these needle felted flowers as design additions to a denim jacket. We were thrilled when we realized they came from one of our younger needle felting friends, Jaiden, who is just 10 years old! We promised to hold on to the pics until after Grandma’s birthday. Jaiden just started felting a few month’s back, and her little penguins were shared in a January newsletter…her progress  and attention to detail in such a short time is remarkable.

“Here are photos of flowers I needlefelted for my nana’s jeans jacket.  She gave me my first needle felting supplies for Christmas.  I’m giving her the decorated jacket for her birthday in April!  I know she will love it!

My mom and I bought an old, blue wool sweater at a thrift shop and washed it so it shrank up a lot, and then cut it for the patches.  I needled felted the flowers with my supplies from Living Felt and sewed on buttons from my mom’s collection of vintage and salvaged buttons. My mom showed me how to outline the yellow flower with embroidery thread using back stitch, which is very tricky!  I sewed the patches on the jacket using zigzag on our sewing machine. The purple flower is on the front breast pocket.  The yellow flower is on back in the middle near the top. “

Thanks for wanting to publish my felting!  I’m so excited!!! My nana will be very happy.
She encourages me a lot and my mom, too.
I’m giving her the jacket on April 21 when we visit. “

Jaiden, – 10 years old

“Hi, This is Jaiden’s mom, Suzanne.  Just to be clear, I’m her partner in crime with her projects since she is, after all, 10 years old.  I make sure she doesn’t lose a finger on the sewing machine or with the needles for felting. I let her raid my various stashes of supplies, give her suggestions, or show her how to do a new skill.  I encourage her to submit her projects to you and let her know when you respond.  Needlefelting really is something she discovered on her own and is passionate about.  I love seeing that in her and am also enjoying learning about it myself.
Thanks for all your support!!  We can’t wait for my mom to see her jacket and hope she loves it as much as we do! “

“I just wanted to share with everyone my first three projects.  It all started when I saw an embellishing machine at our local sewing center.  I came home & sat in front of the computer for hours researching felting and found your website.  I ordered your purse kit, then your hat kit.  My husband says it’s a good thing he doesn’t mind cleaning the house because I am addicted to this craft!!  Anyway thanks for getting me started!”
