We love this needle felted bear by Kiersten Marie…this is her very first bear and was made with the Living Felt Needle Felting a Bear Kit. Now that she has some basic skills learned….we can only wait to see what she will felt up next!

“Hi!  I wanted to send in my photo of the bear I made with the “Needle Felting Bear with String Joints” kit. I was very pleased with him as my first attempt at needle felting. I have since made a few more of my own creations.

Thanks so much for helping me to begin my needle felting hobby!”

Sincerely, Kiersten Marie

Kathy Johnson of Candler, NC, did a great job needle felting this cuddly cutie with some help from our Bunny Love Kit! Love those darling feet and great whiskers. You’re off to a fantastic start Kathy!
“This is my first needle felting project.  It was the Bunny Love kit from Living Felt.  I liked the kit because it gave me all the tools I needed to get started with a needle felt project.   The directions were right on target on how to do each step.    Thanks Living Felt.    It was great fun!  And I can’t wait to do more.”

Also from Liza Adams of New Zealand, she dubbed this sweet and soulful little bear is Belinda! What a beauty! Make a similar bear with our Beary Best Friend Needle Felting a  Bear Kit!

“Here is my latest little bear.  Belinda is felted in 2 shades of merino x batts [purple haze and lady slipper] and has a 2 colour embroidered nose etc. I have found that these batts allow for much more ‘fine tuning’ with my felting and I can get a much smoother surface! Thanks Heaps”

Needle Felted Santa
Needle Felted Santa

Paige is brand new to needle felting, yet look at this wonderful Santa she created!
She got our Needle Felting a Santa Kit and came out with great results!

“I was going to have surgery on my foot that would leave me non-weight bearing for six weeks, so I picked up a felting kit at my local wool shop.  I enjoyed it so much that I started looking online for more.  That is when I found Living Felt and the Heirloom Santa.  I fell in love with him.  So, I ordered the full kit and the rest is history.  I am hooked.  Thank you for producing such a wonderful kit and felting class.   Thanks”  -       Paige Joyner

First Needle Felt

First Needle Felt

Remember your FIRST Felt? For most of us, it really wasn’t that long ago!
Kinu sent us this picture of a bear she made with the LIVING FELT needle felting bear kit,
isn’t it grea?t! :)

Dear Living Felt, I purchased three kits last week (2/23) and I received the day before yesterday (2/26) (very fast!).  I have been looking for some kind of craft making for long time (many years), and I could not find one I liked.  Recently, I learned about felt arts and looking through internet.  Then, I found one I liked (love at first site).  I called you and the person who handled my order through the phone was very nice and helpful.  I also looked at the instruction movies at your web site (very helpful).  Anyway, I made a first bear and I love him.  I am looking forward to making many more.  I would like to appreciate your wonderful information and would like to send my first bear picture.  I finally found what I really love to do.  Thank you very much.”

 Sincerely,  Kinuyo Kraus–Vicksburg, MS

NEEDLE FELTED BEAGLE
NEEDLE FELTED BEAGLE by Kim Morton

Kim Morton sent us this wonderful picture of her needle felted beagle made from the
Living Felt Happy Dog needle felting kit.    This was her first needle felted animal. She writes:

Hi, I just wanted to send you a pic of the beagle I made today….my first stab at needle felting! His legs are a little wonky and a bit too long, but on the next one, I’ll measure better! I love his face, and there’s plenty of material left to make more. The directions were very easy to follow, and I enjoyed the process! NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!

Judy’s Needle Felted Santa November 7, 2009

Judy never ceases to amaze! She bought our Needle Felting an Heirloom Santa CD and made this gorgeous traditional Santa Doll!

Hi, Marie!  I finally finished Santa this evening!!  Spare time has been in short supply lately, so I’m a bit behind in my Christmas project plans, but I just love the way this little guy turned out.  I really dressed him up under his coat in dark green pants, black boots, black vest with three little buttons and a white sweater.  I opted for a hat instead of a hood.  Happily, everything came out just the way I envisioned.  I still need to touch up here and there, and I want to put him on a platform with a little Christmas tree, etc., but I did want to send you the first pictures.  Your instructional CD was a wonderful inspiration!  There were so many great tips and helpful suggestions in addition to the easy-to-follow directions.  I’m so happy that I tried this!  Santa is my second doll and is surely a marked improvement over my first.  Thanks, Marie!!

Here he is!  Making the display was so much fun….just suffered some impatience waiting for the wood base to dry.  The little felted “package” at Santa’s feet plays ‘White Christmas” when pressed.  Everything is loose, so the pieces can be changed if I find something else that I like more.  Later I might make some things in polymer clay.  All my current items are 1:12 or 1:24 scale, too small.  I drilled a hole for a removable dowel, which on it’s own holds Santa standing.  His coat is loose to about mid back, so I slip him over the dowel between his body and the coat.  Thought that I’d need to secure him to the dowel, but it wasn’t necessary.  Now my only worry is dust!

Anyway, I wanted you to see him completed.  Thanks again so much, Marie.
