In “The Wind in the Willows,” some field mice go caroling at Mole’s house and he and Ratty bring them in and feed them, give them cider, etc. That’s where Chris Armstrong got the inspiration for this darling little felted scene. The song they sing is “Villagers All, This Frosty Tide.”
They stand approximately 6 inches tall and the base is approx. 8 inches wide. Chris made an armature of #22 floral wire.
Chris Armstrong lives with his family in Nashville, TN and began needle felting when his daughter was in Waldorf.

These carolers are the cutest thing i have seen any one make with needle felting. They are amazing-so much detail! I bet if you listen really hard you could hear them singing!

The Wind in the Willows remains one of my favorite books in large part due to the beautiful illustrations by Michael Hague. This sweet creation brings his illustration closer to life. Love it!
