Needle Felted Heart & Bead Dangler

needle felted heart dangler

Last year we shared a tutorial for making a fun needle felted heart dangler, and Lynette Marie Spaulding, my dear Sister in Law and our amaaaaazing production manager here at Living Felt, thought she’d give it a go. What she turned out were the most gorgeous adornments for our home and gifts for her friends and family.

Lynette alternated needle felted beads, with her own handmade paper and fabric beads, along with other novelty beads.

We hope these beautiful needle felted hearts inspire you to try some of your own…whether for a needle felted valentine, decoration indoors or even as felted yard art!

This week we re-published the  simple tutorial for needle felting hearts and needle felted beads dangler.

  1. No website to add but I have a question regarding how you get the finish on the hearts and balls so very smooth? I always have ‘hairs’ sticking out and it makes my pieces look fuzzy.

    Suggestions, please???

    • Hi Flory! My beads are definitely a little fuzzy! 🙂 For super smooth finishes I highly recommend a 42 gauge (very fine tipped)
felting needle, they are awesome! You can also carefully ‘trim’ your felted pieces with a pair of small, sharp scissors!! 🙂

More than that, I want to say how much I appreciate Lynette! She always writes the sweetest notes when she packs my order. And the last time I had a question, she was so helpful. She went above and beyond what anyone else would have done and It was so nice. Lynette is awesome!

  4. Dear Lynette: I love your hearts. Have been busy with sewing students and being a wedding coordinator. Busy fixing my new car (1988 Park Avenue). Miss talking to you but will be ordering again soon. My daughter in Atlanta had a blood clot in leg and lung, so will be going to Atlanta next month. Have a blessed day and will talk to you soon. Always, Glorianne

  5. These are festive and cool and breezy! They remind me of prayer flags which I guess makes sense ’cause It’s all about putting your heart out there. And as we all know, Lynette has one of the best hearts in the world.

  6. What an imagination stimulator. My ten y.o. granddaughter and I spent this evening working on beads and other creative felting and found that we both love to felt in time with music. We especially like folk and bluegrass! We hope to get at least three heart danglers done in the next two weeks!! Thanks for all the beauty and inspiration. Maggie and Sky
