Striking Needle Felted Blue Heron Wall Hanging

Debbie Gedayloo Needle Felged Bird Wall Hanging on www.livingfelt.com/blog using MC-1 Felting Batts and the Addiquick Felting Tool

Debbie Gedayloo shared with us her fabulous felted wall hanging that was created
in a highly textured “relief”.

“This is a 3d sculptured wall hanging using needle felting
and the new Addiquick tool. I live at the edge of a bird sanctuary
on the central coast of California and herons are here year round.
The picture was made using and locks all from Living Felt.

The AddiQuick was used to felt in the 3D elements of the bird’s wings
and face and also the plants behind the bird. I found the tool quite useful
to penetrate through the really thick design.
It would have taken a really long time to create the depth
with just a needle and hand so the AddiQuick was really helpful.

I used quilt batting as the background because I had a bunch in a box.
This was WAY too thin and flimsy as a background so it took a lot of roving
and batts to add color and thickness to the project. (live and learn) .”

Thanks again,

Debbie Gedayloo, California
