What an awesome sculpture!

“Winnie the warty witch, needlefelted with wetfelted clothes, stripy sock reused for her jumper and stockings. Casting spells by rubbing her whiskers and has a very unwitchy plum lock, in her hair.”

Kathleen Anne James, United Kingdom

Needle Felt Rendition of Frankenstein

Felted Frankenstein by Cherie Davidson featured on www.livingfelt.com/blog

We love this wooly rendition of Frankenstein! Created by the talented Cherie Davidson! She has really found her niche in felting custom art dolls.

“I’d like to share my latest little guy with you all… meet “The Monster.” He stands 15-3/4″ tall, and is solid wool (no armature). His hair is suri alpaca. I used size 38 needles mostly, but finished and detailed with 42. Everything except his green jacket and the touches of raw wounds/scars are made with Living Felt Monochrome Studio Pack.

The light gray gave him a great pallor, and the heathered gray blend made terrific “metal” staples and neck bolts. The light blue-gray was perfect for a not quite right/sickly shading of his skin. His jacket is a blend I hand carded to get a deep, dirty green. I used some of the black from the studio pack to get the deep tones. He was a joy to create!”

Needle Felted Pumpkins by Arzu Unel-Cleary featured on www.livingfelt.com/blog.

Arzu orders with us all the way from across the pond, and what beautiful treasures she makes…full of magic!

“Made for the “Autumn table” last Fall… a Waldorf tradition that our children and parents love to take part in to honour the magic of each changing season. Is it just a Waldorf school tradition I wonder, or does anyone else have a nook in their home that carries hand made and nature made treasures that changes throughout the year?”

Arzu Unel-Cleary, Australia

Needle Felted Funny Face Pumpkin by Susan Huff featured on www.livingfelt.com/blog.

We love this guy .. so full of character!

“Funny Face Pumpkins
Each time I start a face pumpkin it is like exploring a new world of creativity. Each one is always totally different and each one has a different character. It is so amazing how each one turns out. I used the Merino Cross batt Hot Orange, core wool for the face, mohair lock’s emerald forest and clementine. I love the locks and curls. It is all needle felted. I try to look at men’s faces to get inspiration. LOL.

Thanks for your website.”
