“Am invited to show my wall hangings at a gallery in Winston so had to make something to wear to “stand out” as a felter. Kinda like all those gorgeous designs you see on Pinterest with descriptions you can’t read cause who knows what language it is. Anyway this was my attempt at “fashion”. Thank you Marie for all your Wooly Wednesday “tips””

Erin Butler Models her stylish wet felted cowl made with our fine Merino Tops in Charcoal and Dijon, with accents of wool nepps and silk blends or silk hankies to get the vein-like textures on top. They are also fabulously reversible!
Erin says they will make great gifts while also serving as explorations in design. Each weighs approximately 2oz, starting size is approximately 17.5″ x 15.5″ and they are wet felted over a resist. Erin shares that the resist is shaped to help hold the fibers in place and prevent the from slipping off
What an inspiring project and our gratitude to Erin for sharing her technique! Remember to test/measure for shrinkage 🙂
We LOVE this gorgeous ensemble designed and felted for us by Erin and Steve Whalen of Wisconsin.
Felting is something this lovely couple has learned they like to do together! Erin designed the hat and did the felting; Steve did the fulling, shaping, and finishing. Each piece is so artful, soft and beautiful.
For this custom creation, they used our Merino Top in Bitter Chocolate, Tide pool, Mushroom, Atlantic, Cornflower; plus a pink merino inside to achieve some migration to the top.
The matching scarf, pin and hat band were gifts that we so cherish! These are currently on display in our shop, but we’re pretty sure Marie will be eyeing them come Winter 😉

“Hello, I just wanted to let you know how impressed I am with your company.
I purchased the Wet Felting Tools Bundle and the Nuno Felt Scarf Kit Deluxe in Emerald Forest last week.
My order arrived promptly and was beautifully packaged. I love the color instructions and the little personal touches
like “Pack with Love, Shipped with Joy!” on the box and the words of artistic encouragement on the sales receipt.
This was my first time felting and I will be purchasing supplies more this week! 🙂
This was my first try at Nuno Felting and I loved it! My one deviation from the instructions – I am an experienced baker,
so when I first started rolling the scarf I decided that a rolling pin might make it easier. I tried it and it worked great! “
Sincerely, Joely Rogers Dallas, TX
